AON Restructures retail
brokerage business under Aon Broking name. It is a network of
hubs in major insurance centers that links global specialty,
retail, wholesale and facultative reinsurance. Elliot
Richardson, CEO of Aon Benfield Fac, is CEO of Aon Broking and
Aon Risk Services’ facultative broking. Warren Mula,
chairman of U.S. retail at Aon Risk Services, is also now its
CEO for retail and specialty broking. >> Mark Herrmann
joins as chief counsel of litigation. He was with Jones Day in
Chicago. >> K&K Insurance Group, a unit of Aon
Underwriting Managers, acquires Indiana-based Leisure Sports
Specialists, expanding K&K’s role in the leisure and
entertainment industries. Founder Matt Sackett moves to K&K
as national sales manager, and Mike Larkin joins Tim McGee to
lead K&K underwriting.

Hudson joins subsidiary Gallagher Bassett Services as president
and CEO. He will lead p-c third party claims management, loss
control and admin services. He also becomes a member of Arthur
J. Gallagher’s executive management committee as a
corporate VP. He comes from Bridge Strategy Group in
Chicago.

Ogburn named non-executive chairman, replacing Thomas Crawford
(unrelated to the firm’s founders), who stepped down as
chairman Dec. 31, 2009. Ogburn is executive director at
Arcapita, an international investment firm. Tom Crawford has
been named new chairman of Superior Access Insurance Services
in Irvine, Calif.
